Skye are happy to yet again announce an upgrade for their long standing Image Analysis Systems which
have spanned well over 20 years. The software has come a long way since being first launched in DOS mode
in the mid 1980s and now once again offers the latest technology and Microsoft compatibility.
Image capture cards installed in a PC are a thing of the past, SkyeLeaf and SkyeRoot programs can now
capture images at the click of a button from USB "Plug & Play" video cameras or scanners. Photos taken
with digital cameras or even mobile phones can also be easily imported for analysis, with no extra
hardware needed.
A highly portable system is available utilising a laptop in the field to take measurements on leaves
during growth. Alternatively a dedicated laboratory setup is offered for the rapid analysis of hundreds
of leaves and roots at the end of an experimental trial.
The new, automatic calibration function makes quick and easy work of setting the pixel size, as well as
giving more accurate measurements. Additional features also include root branches and tips.

WinDENDRO is an image analysis system specifically designed for tree-ring measurement and analysis.
With a few mouse clicks, it digitizes and measures annual tree rings.
WinDENDRO is based on high quality optical scanners instead of video cameras. Scanners produce
very high resolution color or gray levels images, free of illumination problems (non-uniformity and
shadows) over large areas which makes them well adapted for image analysis of macro objects like wood
disks or cores.

WinSCANOPY is a canopy and solar
radiations analysis system based on
hemispherical images taken by a
digital camera and a fisheye lens. It
is available as software alone or as a
complete system. Different versions
are offered ranging from low cost to
high precision and full-featured.
SCANOPY is available in two
configurations; WinSCANOPY for desktop
analysis and PocketSCANOPY for field
analysis.
With WinSCANOPY, image analysis is
done in the laboratory under operator
supervision rather than in the field.
With PocketSCANOPY image acquisition
and analysis are done in the field. It
runs on PocketPC computers (PDA)
running the Windows Mobile 2003
operating system.

measurement in different forms. It can
do morphological (length, area,
volume...), topological, architectural
and color analyses. It is comprised of
a computer program and image
acquisition components that are

WinRHIZO Tron & Tron MF are manual
root measurement programs that allow
you to analyse images coming from
minirhizotron underground video camera
systems or other sources that do not
always offer a good contrast between
roots and their background.
The main difference between the two
Tron versions:

WinFOLIA is based on the technology of

family of operating systems.

WinCAM is a color based area meter and
morphology analyser.
It uses image analysis to quantify
areas of different colors that fall
into ranges that you specify. It has a
wide variety of applications. For
example, it can measure the diseased
area on fruits, leaves, flowers or any
other material that shows a minimum of
color contrast. WinCAM is very
sensitive and can detect very small
color differences. Its interactive
design makes it very easy to use.

measure any objects length and

The IPM Scope combines advanced digital optics and LED lighting in a IPM scouting microscope that fits
in the palm of your hand. 40 - 140X (12-140 X for Mega Pixel) magnification lets you zoom in on the fine
details of insects and plant disease symptoms. Place the IPM Scope over the sample, and comfortably view
the image right on your computer screen, instead of straining to look into a tiny eyepiece. Capture
images, easily add labels, take measurements and even draw right on the live image.
The IPM Scope comes with all the software required to capture and archive your still images. The
video upgrade bundle can be purchased separately to provide the ability to capture your live videos
and time lapse sequences.
