[Soil Drilling & Sediment Sampling]      [In-situ Soil Testing]      [Soil Physical Research & Laboratory]
Product Range : Soil : In-situ Soil Testing

14.01 EC Probe are used in irrigation areas, one is often confronted with salinization problems.
In order to acquire the necessary understanding regarding these issues, it is very important to check the salinity of the soil regularly.
Also in examining ecosystems that are influenced by salt water (lagoons, etc.), it is necessary that we know the salinity of the soil.

14.04 Tensiometers set are used for determining the right quantity of water in the soil and is of primary importance for an optimum plant growth and yield of crop. Measuring the soil moisture content (in percentages) as well as the determination of the soil suction (in hPa, mbar or cbar) in the soil therefore is one of the most important aspects of complete agricultural physical soil research.

The MiniTrase uses Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) to measure instantaneously the volumetric water content of soils and other moist media. A variety of connectors and waveguides for depth measurements ranging from 15 cm to 70 cm are available, and can be used in a portable manner or permanently installed for periodic moisture monitoring. The volumetric moisture content is displayed on the Palm terminal, and the graph of the TDR pulse can also be tagged for identification and stored for later viewing and analysis on the PC.

14.62 Trime FM-3 TDR system consists of a read-out unit and various probes, among which is the unique tube probe.
The read-out unit or soil moisture meter has the same specifications as the FM-2 meter. It is however only possible to connect three-pin probes or tube probes.

Log all soil moisture readings on a hand held iPAQ Compaq Pocket Computer and Active Sync the data directly to computer. The Pocket Pro Logger automatically logged along with the date, time, depth of reading and the location. The data can present in charts and graphs on an Excel Spread Sheet.

Portable soil moisture probe use radio frequency technology to measure the dielectric coefficient of soil with varying moisture content to a high of accuracy, +/- 1 %. The readings are independent of soil conductivity. Measurement can be made at an unlimited number of locations, and to any root depth desired, to give a complete soil moisture profile.
