  • The system consists of a settlement probe equipped with a high-sensitive pressure transducer connected by liquid filled tube to a reservoir.
  • The probe is pulled – meter by meter – through a pipe buried into the embankment.
  • The profile of the pipe is relative to the reference point where the measuring unit is located.

  • Consists of a pressure pad connected to the transducer by hydraulic line.
  • The internal cavity between the two steel plates of the pressure pad and the hydraulic line are filled at laboratory with special oil deaired under high vacuum to obtain the minimum oil compressibility.
  • The rigidity of the cell is even assured by the transducer which has a ceramic diaphragm with negligible volume displacement in comparison with the cell cavity.

  • A length of high-pressure rilsan tubing connects the cavity of the pressure pad to the pressure transducer.
  • A repressurizing device is available for expanding the cell after the concrete has cured.
