The MaxiMet GMX600 is an all‑in‑one weather station that combines measurements of wind speed & direction, precipitation, temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure in one rugged unit. It uses ultrasonic wind sensors (no moving parts) and an optical rain gauge for precipitation, with optional GPS for true wind and location data.  It supports various digital output protocols (RS‑232, RS‑485, SDI‑12, NMEA, Modbus, ASCII) and offers selectable data rates (1/sec, 1/min, 1/hr) with a low power “eco” mode.  The GMX600 is designed for durability, featuring a naturally aspirated, UV‑stable radiation shield, IP66 protection, operation from about ‑40 °C to +70 °C (with heating option), and weighs around 0.8 kg.
