The Gill WindSonic 60 is a 2-axis ultrasonic wind sensor designed for accurate, maintenance-free measurement of wind speed (0–60 m/s) and direction (0–360°). Built with no moving parts, it uses ultrasonic technology to detect wind based on the time of flight of sound pulses, ensuring reliable performance and long lifespan even in harsh environments. It features multiple output options—including RS232, RS422, RS485, NMEA, and optional analogue or SDI-12—making it highly versatile for integration into various meteorological and environmental monitoring systems. With an IP66-rated polycarbonate housing and an operating range from −35 °C to +70 °C, the WindSonic 60 is ideal for weather stations, marine platforms, renewable energy sites, and research applications requiring robust, precise, and low-maintenance wind measurement.
