Surechem has achieved seamless integration of 10 sets of Weather Stations also known as Meteorological Measuring Facilities (MMF) that comply to IEC61724-1 standard for PV monitoring systems in this project. These stations are equipped with Campbell Scientific CR1000X Dataloggers, connected to compact weather sensors and and solar radiation sensors chosen by the client. Through RJ45 connections, these stations are directly linked to the solar power plant's SCADA system, enabling live data monitoring with utmost efficiency.
Importance of Weather Monitoring Stations in Solar Farm
Solar energy production is greatly influenced by local weather conditions. A proper understanding of these relationships is critical to ensuring that solar energy is a financially and environmentally sustainable renewable energy source. A weather station can be defined as a facility containing instruments and equipment used to observe atmospheric conditions to facilitate weather forecasting for the study of meteorology and climate.
